Get serious people

What happens when you're trying to get your pictures taken and you have a bunch of crack heads in your family?

Oh, I mean crack-ups.

You get a lot of pictures with everyone cracking up...

Pulling faces... I mean really, does this look like a family that can hold a straight face?

Nope! It's not.

We even had a hard time staying vertical.

How was our photographer supposed to get anything done with us?

It was hard. Very hard.

She finally had to start taking pictures of our backsides.

Even our backsides weren't serious. But come on, who can have a serious backside? All those wet cheeks were just too cute. We had to do a little pinching.
We may have driven our photographer into an early retirement. I wouldn't blame her after dealing with this CRACK UP family.

Goodbyes totally SUCK

Our fourth year medical school friends have found out where they’re moving for their residency programs. We knew this day would come eventually but we were trying to ignore it. However when it’s blaring right in your face and staring you down, it’s hard to hide from.

When match day came around, oh say a month ago, we had a big get together with all the medical students in our ward/stake. There was food galore, yummy treats, games, volleyball and friends. It was so fun celebrating their exciting news with them. The VanDusen’s are headed to Texas, the Allen’s are off to Washington, and the Condie’s are getting away to Michigan.

Congratulations everyone!

The lucky ones who are moving on. Condies, VanDusens and Allens.

You made it through MEDICAL SCHOOL!! That alone deserves a big celebration.

So while we’ve been so successful at ignoring the fact that these fun people are leaving us, we could ignore it no more. Rob won’t be here when they all officially leave so we had to say some goodbyes this weekend and it SUCKED royally.

The Brainiacs a.k.a.Medical Students. Some 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years.

It was all I could do to hold myself together. Rob was giving Mike and Leanna a hug goodbye and saying a few last words to these two awesome people when I looked over at him. His eyes were getting nice and glossy and his cheeks were starting to turn a slight shade of red. He was having a hard time saying goodbye too. (don’t tell him I told you this, you know how guys are about people knowing they have an emotional side) He kept looking over at me with those sad eyes and I was a goner from there on.
Granted I was already getting a little emotional due to the fact he was going to be getting on a plane the next morning and I wasn’t going with him. He’s my EVERYTHING and if you know us, we DO NOT like being separated, even for a night. Call us CRAZY if you must.
So goodbyes are not my friend. I don’t like them in the least. They can go take a hike for all I care. Now I’m off to try and be more successful at hiding from the goodbyes that are looming over my head.

The Med School wives. Hey we deserve some credit too. It's tough work being a wife of a medical student!

Happy Monday!

Jiggle-O

Can YOU do the Jiggle-O?

Well my guy can. He can do it quite well too.

A little to the left, a little to the right
Jump up and down, that's all-right.

If you haven't seen this hottie do a little Jig, you are sorely missing out.

Have a Fantastic Friday. Go do a jig or two. :-)

Thank You

These beauties were delivered to the office yesterday with my name on them.

What a nice thing for the boys in the office to do for me don't you think?

I thought so.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day

Obsessions

Well I've developed yet another obsession. I'm obsessed with other people's blogs. I guess this isn't new news to some of you, but I thought I would officially declare it.

The Pioneer Woman has had me glued to her website for quite some time now. I read her posts wishing I were her next door neighbor, which would still be quite some distance, but still, I want to be her friend. I want to listen to her ramble on about who knows what because if she has me glued to her site with her writings, I'm sure she would be a great friend to sit and chat with, laugh with and be just plain silly with. Sigh...

She also has me totally and completely jealous of the beautiful country setting she lives in. I guess I'll just have to be obsessed with her website, drool over her gorgeous pictures, wish I could cook half as well as she does and hope for a day I can enjoy scenes like hers on an everyday basis.

Check it out but be careful, she might wriggle her way into your obsessions too. I think she has a sneaky way of doing that with people. :-)

DAD

Happy Birthday DAD!

I hope it's been another GREAT year under your belt.

LOVE YOU!

SMILE

Have you ever had one of those days that you wake up and you just can’t stop smiling? Well today is one of those days for me. It’s been a great day ever since I open my droopy eyes. Okay so maybe not ever since. It took me a few minutes to start seeing straight and my brain to start functioning properly, which is NOT uncommon for me. But once those eyes opened up and my brain was in full functioning mode, it’s been a GREAT day.

This morning as I sat down at my desk and opened my email I received a very lovely email from one of my very dear friends. No, I’m kidding. It wasn’t lovely at all. Yes, she is a lovely friend but the email was NOT. I about jumped out of my scaly skin and ran away. Good thing the desk was between me and the door or else I might not be sitting here anymore. I had to practice some breathing techniques to gain control of myself after that one. There’s nothing like a good SCARE to get your morning started.

Scary as it was though, I almost busted up laughing because of my reaction. So yes, even a scary email put a smile on my face today.

There’s one other thing that has been putting a giant cheesy grin on my face today, our FAMILY PICTURES! I’m a huge DORK, I know, but they really have slapped a silly grin on me all day. I was so excited to see these pictures so when they were finally posted I couldn’t help but be giddy. Sam, the oh so amazing photographer, was so fun when we had the pictures done and I’ve seen how well Jamie’s (the recent bride) pictures turned out that I just couldn’t wait to see how our family pictures would look.

Ahhh….(silly girl screams of excitement) SHE DID AWESOME!!

How can anybody not smile after seeing these fun pictures?

My point exactly! I’m glad you see it my way.

So what puts a SMILE on your face and makes your day GREAT? Is it something as silly as seeing your family pictures or being scared by a friends email? Or finishing yet another book maybe…… You already know I’m addicted so there’s no reason for me to try and hide it.

Well these are the things that have made my day fun today.

Hi my name is Tiff....

..AND I'M AN ADDICT!
I can't put the friggin books down long enough to get anything done anymore.
JUST TAKE 'EM AWAY!
NO! WAIT! DON'T! I didn't really mean it!
Ok, Yes I did. I need to start focusing more time on other things besides fictional friends.
NO! I can't bear the thought of you taking the books away. WHAT WILL I DO WITHOUT THEM???? (squirming in my seat as beads of sweat start to form on the brow of the forehead)
Yes, my name is Tiff and I'm an addict!
